Highlights - Wed. 5/5/2011

We had a busy day getting ready for Yom Ha'Atzmaut - Israeli Independence Day! In 4th grade Mrs. Bulbin led Israeli dances and the singing of HaTikvah. The 4th and 5th graders also participated in an Israeli-themed Kitah Kef. They had to advertise different areas of Israel. The 6th grade is preparing for an end-of-the-year quiz in Judaic Studies and explored the meaning of community in Hebrew. Our 7th graders worked to synthesize their learning for the year, combining direct service, advocacy, and community organizing. Our Kabbalat Torah students had a rehearsal of their service - please join us this Friday, May 6th at 6pm to recognize our Kabbalat Torah students and celebrate Israel's birthday!
