Sunday Highlights - February 13, 2011

We had a busy morning beginning with our amazing 6th Grade Family Program. The Kindergarten class completed their second lesson on the Synagogue theme, as they visited the Sanctuary and defined various objects one would find in a Synagogue. First graders continued their journey through Genesis and discussed the concept of "shalom bayit", or peace in the home. Our second graders had fun learning about Miriam and the sea of reeds, creating artwork about God's imprint and playing Hebrew Hangman. Third grade reviewed Hebrew, continued learning the Hatikvah and began preparing for Purim. Our students in fourth grade began working on a Dream Notebook as they learned about Joseph's dreams and conflicts. Fifth graders continued working on their "about me" posters and perfecting the Amidah prayer in Hebrew. It was a terrific day!
