Kitah Kef was the name of the game this evening - our fourth and fifth graders enjoyed the first hour together as they planned their booths for the upcoming Purim Carnival, which will be held on Wednesday, March 23!
The sixth and seventh graders had their opportunity to do the same in Kitah Kef during second hour -everyone had a great time coming up with ideas and putting them in to action. Next week, we will have the same Kitah Kef schedule for the 4th through 7th graders so they can finish up.
Fourth grade in second hour had a chance to be tested in Hebrew as a few people chanted the V'ahavta and the Hatikvah. The fifth grade reviewed their Hebrew Mastery Books in Hebrew class, and the Judaic Studies class discussed the practice of Kabbalat Torah and its importance as a life cycle event. They also began designing their own personal Temple Judea Learners' Permits (to use as "licenses" as they continue on the journey of their Jewish education)!
Sixth graders wrote thank you letters to God and discussed how important it was to them to use special paper, fonts, difficult words and just the right style. Our seventh graders continued with their cohorts in first hour learning about Comparative Judaism, Etiquette, Public Speaking and D'var Torah.
Remember to ask your kids what they have planned for the Purim Carnival!
