Wednesday, April 11th Updates

Here's what happened at Religious School today!
In 4th grade we started to learn about Israel Independence Day.  We did Israeli dances and learned to read and sing Hatikvah. We sang Israeli songs and did a facts page about Israeli
history.
The 5th grade reviewed the concepts of Hachnasat Orchim through a Prezi presentation. Then, the class completed crossword puzzles covering the major concepts and characters from the lesson. Finally, students created questions for a Jeopardy review game to be played on Sunday.
Today in 6th grade we read and discussed the Israeli city of Tzfat. We took turns reading and answering questions. We read HaTikvah, our first connection to Yom Ha'atzmaut.
The 7th graders had a discussion about modern day slavery. Then the students worked preparing to help lead the Yom HaShoah service on Wednesday, April 18th.
