The smell of pizza was wafting from the fourth grade classroom this evening as we had a fun pizza party for the 4th grade group as a congrats for finishing up the entire Alef Bet Quest book. They have learned all their Hebrew letters and vowels, and are even getting to know some of the important prayers by heart. Mrs. Goldberg continued Jacob's Diary with the Judaic Studies class in fourth grade as well. In fifth grade, everyone finished putting the finishing touches on their "about me" posters, and we even worked on "about" posters for Jewish figures and Temple Judea personalities. Look for them beginning next week in Room 7! Hebrew students in fifth grade finished learning the Avot, and everyone did a fabulous job leading the prayer for their peers. Our sixth graders finished up the New Jerusalem chapter in their Artzeinu books and separated in groups to do a fun project. The four groups made a poster representing different sites in Jerusalem: the Israeli Museum, Hebrew University, Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem. Everyone worked together beautifully and had a great time in the process!
Remember - no Religious School on Sunday due to Presidents' Day Weekend. Have a wonderful long weekend and we'll see you on Wednesday the 23rd!
